Although Sanchez is a good player, I think Liverpool should stay away. Lot of problems. Always moaning and whining when things don't go his way. Plus his wages would be a joke.

Why would we do that? Have u not seen our front 3 tear defences apart time and again?

He's a quality player, one of the best in the league but I hope not.
He's approaching the latter stages of his career, he'll want wages that we're not ready to pay yet and finally, who would he displace in the team? Mane or Salah?

With the way our front 3 are playing at the minute, I would not want to lose any of them.

no chance mate.

Yep, I reckon we have at least a 0.01% chance of hijacking the deal.

Not to play in front bruv but to play as cb with vvd! he will play as lb in united anyway😂😂😂.

I’d love him if he were keen on Liverpool and the deal wouldn’t blow up our wage structure but neither of those appear to be the case.

360 000 £ a week comes to around 63 million £ in wages only over 3.5 seasons. A huge signing on fee, huge agent fees and a transfer fee. Even Manchester City think the wages and the other costs are becoming outrageous!

I’d give it a year before all the not happy here issues he’s had at Arsenal would surface again. Is that trade off really worth it?

{Ed001's Note - I think that is unfair. Sanchez's issues were down to a bunch of half-arsed teammates getting the hump because he expected them to put in effort on the pitch and in training! The problems at Arsenal are with the other players and the management, not with Sanchez. They should have been dumping the whiny dross and building around Alexis.}

Ed01agreed tok many so called "stars" want things too easy. Sanchez may have faults who doesn't but he plays and trains the right way. The money maybe a problem but that's not fot us to worry about.

{Ed001's Note - exactly mate, he will get paid a ridiculous amount, but so does every Prem player, so it is only degrees of ludicrousness! Sanchez is the kind of player you need in a team aiming to win trophies, which is why he is so unsuited to Arsenal.....}

Let the Mancs sign him, they love to sign older finished players.

Redwin, i honestly think post like yours is why many LFC fans can't be taken seriously, Alexis Sanchez is far from finished! He will improve UTD, but we as a club are a long way off before we can offer someone wages over 350 000 a week.

I'd love him if we had lost Firmino as he does the same job of harrying and harrassing the back line for 90 minutes and creating a bunch of space, whilst being more than capable of creating opportunities. Replacing Coutinho though. does he drop deep enough? Will he be happy in a role where creating is more important than scoring? Personally I don't think so. Also, would we be able to compete with what the manchester clubs are offering, and would doing so put the rest of our star quality attack in a huff? I think it might very well, and Messi and Neymar aren't worth doing that.

Although I think there is no chance signing him I do think we as fans need to get some perspective regarding finance. Sanchez would cost no more than some others.
At £35M he is a snip in terms of quality comparison to others who are valued at £60m+. If he wasnt 29 what would his value be worth?
So his salary albeit extortionate would net off over 3 years.
Sanchez is a wonderful player. The fab 3 aren't going to play going to play every game and he would be a good addition IF Klopp wanted him and wanted to come.
We cannot simply buy everyone who comes available. A priority remains a GK in the summer. Maybe another CB although i think Matip alonside VVD may work out. Klopp knows his targets and as i said a few days ago we are on the cusp of something special.

Got to agree with Ed. He's been an immense player for them and works incredibly hard. I don't think I've ever seen him put in less than 100%. I was gutted when he chose them over us and I would snap your hand off to have him here now, but at the end of the day his wages (and agent's fees) are going to be astronomical and probably a bit too much for us.

The way things are going at Arsenal, why wouldn't he want to jump the sinking ship? They've shown absolutely no intent over the last couple of seasons. If we were in the same position I wouldn't blame him wanting to leave, I would blame the board/ manager.

Sanchez is class and is perfectly suited to City but he'll be more than happy to sit on a bus for £350,000 a week.

Why would you think suits City while at Barcelona under Pep were frustrated by hishabit of not passing when received the ball, instead put his head down and start running with the ball, has that changed? Or Pep has changed his Philosophy.

City I would say is the most attractive team in English game but am not sure if Sanchez suits Pep Philosophy and ideas of the game.

{Ed001's Note - actually at Barca the problem was that he and Messi did not get on, nothing to do with his play. Pep loved him.}

Legendary he is 29 and in the later stages of his career. £350k per week as well, give it a rest. Would rather we signed one of the worlds brightest young stars to be honest.

Anyone suggesting that the player is finished knows nothing about football.

Someone else suggested that even City are not comfortable with the high wages etc but that's laughable considering that it's teams like City that contribute and had a major influence on the crazy transfer fees and wages.

He's 29 now. I can't help but feel he wasted some of his best years at Arsenal and should never have gone there in the first place.
