Happy New Year to the Ed's and all in here. Thanks Ed's for a great year of insights on this wonderful site.

Just wondering if there's any truth to the Jack Butland rumours if LFC are/ were watching him and just interested to know how the Ed's rate him. Personally I'd love to have seen us go for Pickford last Summer.

I’d agree with Ron, Trapp is poor on crosses and isn’t a commanding keeper at all.

Thanks for your reply. Trapp appears to have struggled at PSG, in a poor league behind the best defense.

Play Karius, Give Ward some games, see how they pan out, and sort out the GK in the summer. No need for knee jerk replacements mid season in a pricey high demand low supply market.

We’d be better off giving Ward and Karius a chance than wasting money on Trapp. Then properly resolve the matter in the summer if neither of Ward or Karius has stepped up. If both do well then sign an experienced older keeper to replace Mignolet and be third choice.
