Eds media reporting Sturridge wants out in Jan. Any truth in this and if so would we look to replace him. What with Origi already on loan and Ings also being linked with a move.

{Ed001's Note - he wants to play or leave in January yes, loan or permanent deal to give himself a chance of making the World Cup squad. I don't expect him to leave, but if both he and Ings were to leave, then a forward would be sought.}

Again very interesting thanks eds.

{Ed001's Note - welcome.}

I would honestly think he is at the best place to make the England squad, Klopp seems to be managing him time considering that he seems to be getting less injuries, regaining form and scoring. I fear for him that should he get a team that relies on him week in week out he might not even be fit to be incontention come world cup, could be wrong.

I think Southgate has shown he will pick a youngster over an older guy that isn't playing regular football. Sturridge will struggle for minutes and if he wants to move on we should do right by him.

Not surprised and can't blame him, he is criminally over-looked and Klopp has made it clear he'd just simply rather not use him.

{Ed001's Note - criminally overlooked? No idea where you get that from. He has not done enough to deserve a place.}

How is Sturridge criminally overlooked? His direct competition is Firmino who happens to be very important to our attacking play. Sturridge offers very little of what Klopp expects from his No.9.

Maybe not enough to deserve a starting place, but when Firmino looks dead on his feet he doesn't deserve 20 minutes? Or when our attack has looked completely blunt for 2 games in a row he doesn't even deserve a try? Klopp only turns to Sturridge when he has absolutely no other choice when to me, he's earned regular gametime as a reliable first backup option. To me he's been wasted which has been fine when we've been scoring 3 a game. But we went through a long patch where we struggled badly for goals and for him to barely get a try during that period was criminal and suggests to me that there is nothing sturridge can reasonably do to force his way into Klopps plans - he's just not capable of being the type of forward Klopp wants and there is no situation where Klopp will adapt his game plan to what Sturridge.

{Ed001's Note - he has done nothing to earn that position when Solanke has been playing better than him this season.}

Sorry but for all his talent he is not worth the salary he claims from LFC for the availability we get from him. He is a massive hypochondriac when it comes to not playing for the slightest knock.

I would let him go as long as adequate cover is in place, Bobby and Solanke won't be enough.

Cut our loses get the wages back and move on.

Newcastle would be a good move for him.

If Sturridge leaves, can we see Ings as his replacement? Ings is doing pretty well at u23 and is gaining his fitness back.

this will sound brutal but i was pleased when i read this as his legs gone and although he seems nice enough guy and seems to have a good footballing brain his body won't hold up to constant games and id also rather see the chances he has got this season so far go to solanke whom i have been impressed by and want to see more off.

Sturridge has given us a lot o goals over the years, and at this stage, with the World Cup comimg, he needs playing time, so maybe its best for all that we let him go, at a good price, so he has some chance of making this World Cup .

I would think letting him go in January will maximise his value. £25 million if we get lucky and they get desperate.

What is happening with the comments, or is it only the select few that get shown?

Ed001 what do you think of Solanke so far?

{Ed001's Note - he has done well but it is early days and we need to see a lot more of him.}
