Hi eds, is n'zonzi somebody we are looking at id read something regarding him and us. I'm not sure if he's completed a move from Sevilla to Juve but if not he'd be a player I'd look at.

{Ed001's Note - not that I am aware of.}

I may have got completely crossed wires on this but I was under the impression that Juve were looking at N'Zonzi or Can.

If that's true and they will wrap up N'Zonzi and not pursue Can then I would rather us just stick with Can instead of paying out quite a large sum for N'Zonzi.

I know it's irrelevant, but when I used to play fifa a few years ago, I always used to buy n'zonzi. Quick, tall, strong and great in the tackle. Is capable of playing forward too. I know it affects Emre but he must know that we need more bulk. If I was in charge, I would do everything I'm my power to keep can. He is still getting better, in a few years I genuinely think he will be one of the best CMs in the world. If N'zonzi rumour is true then surely kieta deal is off? N'Zonzi would be a great signing. Very underrated player.

Hi everyone is talking about players but i have a feeling lfc are not going to sign anyone . does everyone have the same thought. to let Can not go and keep him for another year and leave for nothing is stupidity. it has been the worst summer dealings ever. to get into the champions league playoffs and have no additions and settle for lovren and klavan in defence is bizarre.

Deano, I understand your frustration mate but we have added quality. Salah is going to be deadly this season. Robbo frees up Milner to do his thing where he is still world class in that MF position. Znd I have a feeling dom is going to be our next Owen/ Fowler.

{Ed001's Note - when has Milner been world class? He has never been world class.}

Spot on, Ed. Like you, I must have missed the period of Milner's career where he was world class, myself.

Superred, did you not see the UEFA cup final when Milner was utterly ineffective in centre midfield? Or are you in a parallel universe?

7.) 15 Aug 2017
15 Aug 2017 16:30:54
Ok, bit of an exaggeration. He is a dynamic player though who I think we will see the best of this season.

Yeah I did see it. Thought moreno was the weak link. I also saw him in our last 6 games, playing a more reserved style than lfc usually do. It was genius and the players responded to it well. Ok he is not world class but he can be very good and his experience is valuable. He has a premier league medal.

Milner or Hendo in middield? Thoughts.

{Ed025's Note - or would i rather be poked in the eye with a sharp stick or kicked in the nuts by a rampaging bull?..

Oh ed you do make me laugh 😆, honestly neither are good enough right now but if i had to choose its henderson hands down. Keita would have been ideal but that's not happening.

Are you having a laugh Riedwaan or are you so bad at understanding football that you actually believe their is a choice to be made between Henderson and Milner? Henderson is, by an absolute mile, a better choice, a better player, a more suitable player, a more complete player and I could go on and on. Henderson gets all sorts of criticism but watch him play: good positioning, good vision, superb work rate, good in the tackle, vocal, passionate, technically good, does the simple things well - Milner has never been a good central midfielder in his entire career and shouldn't be one now. If we were looking for a player to cover central midfield we should of kept Lucas - Milner is a big drain on wages and offers very, very little to the team - 100k+ p/ week? We are a mental club.

15 Aug 2017 19:25:13
Lol. Hendo not good enough? You're joking! I think he is pure class. Always feel safer when he is playing. Milner Is one of the most underrated player in premiership history. Ok, I have z tendency to exaggerate. Paul Ince said hd was our best player.

15 Aug 2017 20:32:46
Seano I believe the fact he cam cover so many positions makes him worth hos wage. It's like having 3/ 4 choices from bench. I don't know why people underrate Milner. Like I said, he has a premier league medal. great person to have around the club. Good old fashioned English RM.

World class goal = Milner.

I think Henderson's time is done for us. We've proved a point to Fergie now, but I would hope we are looking at someone next level. Should be on the bench (or sent to the wall) . Obviously we need to get some others in, but seriously think about midfields we've had.

If you think he is the right man to lead us as a class midfielder I totally disagree.

16 Aug 2017 07:20:57
hahaha, I had to read that 3 times, he called Milner world class! LOL
In that case, Barcelona should sign him to replace Iniesta.

A lot of hendos game gets missed. People don't see his positioning or hear how vocal he is. I was frustrated with Hendo for years and was also saying "why do we play this guy, not good enough" but in the last three years he has become an absolute rock in our team. if you can't see that he Is the heart beat of our team then I can't help you. Would be the first name on the team sheet for me.

19.) 16 Aug 2017
16 Aug 2017 15:29:47
Ok guys. I know I was a bit over the top. I have called Milner world class and also ox in the past. I guess it depends how you define world class. Milner has been an international for years for a very decent England team.

I admit I exaggerated a bit but I stand by my statement that he will be massive for us this season. Even if it's just scoring 20 yard goal in a European qualifier I'd be pleased with that. If not for his vision down that left hand side we would have a lot more work to do next week.

People talk a lot about us playing a number 10 and calling all midfield players CMS. None of it makes much sense to me. We don't play 4 4 2 much anymore. Toward end of last season we did, but normally we set up 4 3 3. No number ten. Three forwards. ONE Cm and a RM and LM. Milner Is and has always been a RM who can play LM LB RB LW RW. so I don't see why people worry about him playing in CM the Ox too would be at RM and RW if he came.
