My prediction of 10 days was obviously wide of the mark lol. I still think it's not dead in the water though. Too many conflicting reports. It would be a surprise for us to have an amazing transfer window though.

Was never going to get him, another waste of a transfer window! 🙈.

Interest has ended unfortunately starting to get a bit worried now to be honest.

Think we are now done personally. Obviously we would of liked VVD or Keita but neither will happen and I don't think the club has seen anyone else of the quality they would like.

if dom king said it must be true then.

Grino, I don't no Dom King is mate or what he does but is he usually right?

I didn't really see why keita was on our radar tbh as a centre mid with who we already have as well as milner as we were in the market for a left back were are stacked there but we do really need someone to partner matip still lovern looked better under klopp than Rodgers but still needs improving as well as between the sticks mingolet had a good return after being dropped but there's half a dozen better keepers in the prem your only as strong as your weakest link.

Time to move on. There are other positions in need of strengthening that should be a priority now.

I think Dominic King also said we were 100% going to sign Alex Teixeira ( remember that saga) .
Enough said.

to be honest, it could well be the case that we have ended out interest, but it could also be the case that we have 'leaked' this information to essentially say 'look, we can get someone else right now and you will miss out of 30 ish million when he leaves next year and try and force their hand and hope that those within their camp, who, from a business perspective want to sell him, speak up. Love the Work eds and macca.

He should stick to promoting boxing.

OP, it has never been on. We were the ones getting strung along by the media nonsense as well as Keita's agent winding us all up.

Who's Keita?

15.) 28 Jul 2017
28 Jul 2017 21:13:02
B Scouse, his agent wasn't winding us up, the player wants the move and his agency do also. Unfortunately it seems they made us believe the club would sell, but the club had other ideas! I'm gutted we didn't buy him but massive respect to RBL for sticking to what they wanted. for now!

I guess you was right all along ed002, if this is correct mate?

Look at odds for us signing vvd. Some book makers are not even taking bets anymore. It is the most likely transfer to happen in the premiership. And we know book makers generally know their stuff. I think it's definitely going to happen and i still have hope for kieta. There is still a bit of drama for lfc this window. Don't see klopp holding onto moreno for example. Vvd still not training with his team this close to start of season? Something has happened hence bookies price cut.

Way we're going we could hire Don King to do negotiations.

It's dead. It's been dead for a while. After multiple emphatic statements from RBL about keeping Keita is about preserving the trust of fans and other top players like Timo Werner, there was no way they could sell.

We should have quickly moved onto alternatives then; instead, LFC have wasted precious weeks pretending a deal was possible. Hard to call it anything but gross incompetence by Klopp and the Club if we go into the season with this squad, given so many of our starters are injury prone-- Matip, Lallana, Henderson, Coutinho, Lovren, Sturridge, and last season we struggled with injuries and a thin bench, leading us to also overplay Firmino and Gini. And that was even without Europa or CL.
