Eds seen a rumour we are in for robertson of hill city any truth? Thanks.

{Ed001's Note - we had a look at him a couple of seasons ago, when they were in the Prem last time around, not aware of any fresh interest though.}

Please don't p*ss about with the left back position. Just go buy Sessengon from Fulham and develop him to cover that position from day 1 and for the next ten years.

I think Robertson would be a good addition to the team . He's made his way to the Premier League the hard way pretty sure he wad released by Celtic as a youth then ended up part-time at Queens Park even working for the Hampden Park box office before being signed by Dundee United where his performances led to being signed by Hull. Great attitude, still young enough to become better, tactically astute and has good delivery from the left side . It annoys me a lot of people on social media sneering at the possibility of this move probably because he doesn't have an exotic surname, but for me I'd be chuffed if Robertson signed for us . A hungry Premiership ready young International natural left back who would understand what playing for Liverpool is all about.

Ed01, I'm sure I've seen you say that you thought Sessegnon could go straight into our first team - do you think that's such a good idea given that everyone else thinks our defence is still inadequate? I mean if we had a superb back line then he may be able to slot straight in with the others covering his lack of experience however I'm not sure we have that at the moment so he may flounder with being so young.

{Ed001's Note - he is good enough to improve our back line, his lack of experience is not really an issue, the rest there have plenty.}

Robertson reminds me of Steve Finnan, which is no bad thing as he was a quality footballer.

But what about Sessegnon not being able to train full time? And is'nt he still going to school? That would probably mean him not training full time and maybe even missing some crunch games for us. Relying on a 17 year old no matter how good to be first choice is a very dangerous gamble.

{Ed001's Note - he can train plenty, he is 17 in the summer, he will be able to do his schooling around away games. He will be in college, technically, not school, from next year.}

Hi Ed just been reading that we've been linked with Benzema and Lacazette for me it has to be Lacazette 2 reasons one he is younger and the other and for me more important Benzema's baggage i refer to his blackmailing of a fellow French footballer what do you think thanx scouser phil.

{Ed001's Note - I would avoid Benzema like the plague, the blackmail incident is the tip of a very nasty iceberg of involvement with gangs in his hometown. He is always in trouble off the pitch.}

Is there really interest in Lacazette? What happens to Origi then? Not sure he would be too happy being 3rd choice CF.

Ed 1 just out of interest what would be your perfect summer signing wise ins and outs?

{Ed001's Note - no idea mate. I haven't really given it much thought. Just so long as we improve the team I will be happy, particularly the fullbacks.}

Would you like another rb or just see Trent given more of a chance.

{Ed001's Note - it really depends on how the lad develops. Right now he should be given more of a chance, but I feel he will end up in midfield long term, so we need a rb for me.}

Funny you say that ed I think he will play on the right side of midfield tomorrow.

{Ed001's Note - certainly a possibility.}

I'd be content to see a back line next season of.

Karius

Sessangon. Lovren Matip Alexander Arnold

Although I see improvement in Mignolet so may see him retain his place longer, depending on rest of this season.

Still it's only a if that Sessangon will be signed, not even sure Fulham would sell or we would pay asking price.

I forgot to add the other youngster I'd really like us to sign early on in window with Sessenogn would be Brandt. I think these two would really flourish under Klopp and both in my opinion could play from the off in the first team. Maybe more so Sessenogn than Brandt. I think both players are attainable for us and if we got champions league that would help us also.

Any player who can improve the back line should be considered regardless of age.

We play much better when we have a high defensive line to really squeeze the opposition into making a mistake. therefore our defenders need pace as there is a lot of space left behind the high line.

I think this is why Klaven and Lucas struggled and so did the results as the team unit had to play a lot deeper. It also reduced the attacking threat of the team.

I'd be happy with sessegnon, has about as much experience as Milner left back and he's been out best full back! If also agree with Alexander Arnold, but like to see a top organiser at CB, help the young ones out! Matip starts with him, lovren and Gomez as back up.
Ideally I'd add a winger for competition, wouldn't see the need for a striker, even if sturridge does go, firmino and origi can play there, and if the new winger is adaptable, hoepfully can cover too if desperate!

Lovren was woeful at the weekend

He was pulled out of position.

He put so much slice on one clearance that defied the laws of physics.

His distribution is poor and concentration non existent.

Yup you guessed it! we are negotiating a new long term contract for him.

You couldn't make it up.

We're as well to bring back djimi Traeore.
