Despite being our best player he goes missing far too often considering some of our fans describe him as world class. He has the potential to be so but is without a doubt, not there yet. I think his inconsistency will prevent clubs from bidding an amount that we will realistically take for him.

Would be a massive loss for us despite what some think, there's no doubt he's improving all the time and i would love him to continue that with us.

Has anyone thought maybe Coutinho's form would be more consistent if we didn't keep selling our best players year in year out. As soon as he starts to get any form the player he establishes an understanding and links well with is gone and he has to start all over again with someone else. We have seen Suarez and Sterling both go who he had a good understandings with. Sturridge is in and out the side due to his injuries another who he links well with. You've seen this year Coutinho and Frimino start link well at times and hopefully with a pre season and Coutinho staying Sturridge staying fit Frimino more use to the prem the 3 of them can get a good understanding.

I know he can be frustrating with his pot shots but when Frimino and Sturridge are on the pitch they happen less cause he has movement infront of him.
The lad is class his close control is one of the best I've seen. Off the top of my head playing now I can only think of Suarez Messi and maybe Neymar who can dribble a ball so close to their feet and make it look so easy like the ball is glued to their boots.

Yes admittedly he didn't perform as we know he can in the cup finals but who in our side did? . Ronaldo hardly lit up the champions league final did he. So what he didn't do a Gerrard and grab the game by the scruff of the neck. He isn't that kind of player plus he still got a goal In the league cup final and an assist in the Europa final despite looking lost in both games.

I for one will be absolutely gutted to see Coutinho go just as I was to see Suarez and Sterling go. I've got no doubt if we could have kept them we would be serious contenders now. Imagine now having Suarez Sturridge Sterling Coutinho add Frimino to that and I wouldn't wanna come against that attack.
We can't continue to to keep selling our best or better players every year and hope we will be fine without them. We certainly shouldn't be knocking them saying they ain't consistent enough and we'll be fine without them. We won't be! We'll be building again hoping players will just hit running (knocking them when they don't) then next year Frimino or whoever else who's performed off. Someone tell me a realistic target who will come in and be better or just as good as coutinho. Someone who's going to come in establish a good understanding with Frimino Sturridge Origi? We've never replaced Suarez everyone said we'll be ok Sturridge is just as good and will get the goals. When Sterling went Ibe was going to step up he had more potential anyway! Reality check neither have been replaced and our only real ray of light over the last 2 years is possibly going to be going to.

{Ed002's Note - Neither Suarez nor Sterling wanted to play for Liverpool and made that abundantly clear.}

i always read on here that couthino is inconsistant and that he goes missing, well he can't play every game at his best there's only 2 players in the world i think that don't have quiet games or if they do have quiet games its only a couple, them players are messi and suarez, but the way i look at it Couthino is a young player and he simply got tires with the number of games he played last season, plus the fact he is our best player that other team try and mark him out the game so its impossible for him to play every game with the same affect, but other players at the club are more inconsitent a lot more of the time and don't get the stick he does, imagine him reading some of the posts by so called fans on here, he would see he does not get the support he deserves by some fans.

Just reiterating what Ed002 said - how do you keep hold of the best players if they don't want to stay? And who wants players in our side who are not interested in being there. Personally i'd like to see the back of any player who is not 100% committed to LFC and that's regardless of his ability.

Agreed Annie but if they can be persuaded to give it another year at least and then that brings success then we should do that. Suarez didn't exactly come across as 100% committed, almost took us to the title and added another 20 mil to his value. Was that so bad? If we can get couts to stay 1 more year and we make CL and add to the squad then who knows where klopp could take us. Getting rid of your best players has worked for very few teams other than stepping stone clubs.
