Sorry to bang on about Ings but Burnley have issued statement saying it is against prem rules to buy a player and loan back to same club in same month, as per V7 ?

Surely our club would of known that before goi g in for him? Is there a chance it could be a perm move for him this month then?

{Ed002's Note - I am not aware of anything other than speculation of such a transaction, and Burnley are correct it would not be possible under PL rules. Before there is a rush of examples - it is only Premier League rules that disallow buying and loaning a player out to another PL club in the same window.

Embarrassment really to the Liverpool Echo for reporting that we were interested in that deal if they weren't even aware of the rules of the transfer window. Who knows if it was us genuinely after that move for sure, but I know Echo have sources and are usually spot-on when they post a definitive declaration as they did on Ings. I don't know any source to trust now.

is it possible that they could negotiate a pre contract deal with Burnly and Ings so that they get him in the summer as he only has 6 months of his contract left

{Ed002's Note - He can negotiate a pre-contract with a non EPL side now. From June 1 (or when released from his contract - typically at the end of the season) he can negotiate with an EPL side. It is nothing to do with Burnley.}
